Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park straddles the South Fork of the American River and marks the gold discovery of 1848 that sparked one of history’s largest human migrations. Located in beautiful Coloma, the Gold Discovery Museum, Gold Rush Mercantile, outdoor mining exhibits and historic building self-guided tours are open daily.
