Women Selecting Tomatos at Farmer's MarketEl Dorado County Farmer's Markets

The Placerville, South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado Hills and Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Certified Farmer's Market Association (CFMA) is pleased to continue its efforts to bring the finest of fresh produce and nursery items to its markets in 2004. The Association currently has more than 75 grower/producers/participants in its markets. Certified Farmer's Markets is a State of California Department of Agriculture program which in El Dorado County is regulated by the County Agriculture Commissioner. Each participant is “certified” by the Commissioner to allow the consumer the confidence of buying direct from the producer.

CFMA is a public benefit, non-profit corporation created to sustain small family farms, educate the consumer about the nutritional benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables, and bring to its community the best farmers' markets in El Dorado County.
