1940's Radio Hour

December 5 - 21, 2003
This musical show is set in a radio station and features classic 1940’s musical numbers as well as traditional Christmas numbers and is appropriate for all family members. Join us for this delightfully entertaining season. Show times vary. All performances will be held at the Veteran’s Memorial Building located at 130 Placerville Dr. in Placerville. Tickets are $15 general admission and $12 for students and seniors. All Thursday performances are $12. Groups of 10 or more are $10 ea. Placerville's Annual Christmas Parade

Sunday, December 7, 2003 at 1:00 pm
As always, the parade will take place rain or shine. The parade begins at the Mountain Democrat parking lot and winds it’s way down Broadway, Main Street, past the Bell Tower and ends at Sacrament St. The community joins together for the festive event put on by Goodyear McIntires & Tubes. This year’s theme is A Carousel Christmas. Bring your camera or to be in the parade call 530/622-9400
Annual Historic Country Inn Holiday Tour

Saturday and Sunday, December 6 & 7, 2003
Tour 10 inns decked our in seasonal finery. Meet the Innkeepers and enjoy specialties and refreshments. Tickets are good for both Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. This is a self-guided tour and tickets are $15. For more information contact Historic Country Inns at 877/262-4667.


Old Fashioned Christmas Craft Faire

December 13, 2003

The 8th annual Christmas Craft Faire is held at the Church of the Foothills. Lots of nice Christmas gifts and goodies.  Hours are from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Santa will be making an appearance in the afternoon. Location is 2830 Merrychase Drive, Cameron Park. Christmas in Coloma

Santa and Mrs. Claus

December 14, 2003
An old fashioned Christmas is celebrated in Coloma each year with demonstrations, carriage rides, period crafts, music, strolling musicians, 19th century Christmas programs and plays in the museum. Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park, 8 miles north of Highway 50 on Highway 49. 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and free to the public. A parking fee may apply. For information call 530/295-2170.

Christmas Tree Lighting
El Dorado Hills Christmas Tree Lighting. December 4th 5:30 to 7 pm. Ceremony location: CSD, 1021 Harvard Way, El Dorado Hills. Share the fun! Enjoy carols, entertainment, cookies & punch. For information call 916/933-1335.

Tea in Toyland
December 14th at the Historic Cary House Hotel, 300 Main St. Placerville. Seating at 11:30 am, 1:00 & 2:30 pm. Children of all ages will delight in the antics of the Cinnamon Bear. Tea and cookies will be served. A child must accompany adults. Adult tickets $6, Child tickets $3. For reservations and information call 530/622-4271.

Community Christmas Dinner

Camino Community Center Assn. Invites you to join them for the Annual “Free” Christmas Dinner. Each year they are fortunate to have generous donations by the community. Doors open at 2:00 pm., 2675 Sanders Drive, Pollock Pines. For information call 530/647-8005.
