Come catch the wave with the El Dorado County Chamber and Kool 101.9,
Sacramento's Oldies Station along with many local businesses sponsoring
this great event. This evening will be full of dancing, silent auction,
no host bar, hot dogs and popcorn, and lots of fun. The doors will open
at 7:00 pm and the dancing will be from 8:00 to 11:00 pm. El Dorado
County Fairgrounds, 100 Placerville Drive. Tickets are $20 each. They are limited and available by advanced ticket sales only.

Dorado County Search & Rescue Council sponsors this event. Doors
open at 6:00 pm, dinner at 7:30 pm, and dancing from 9:00 pm to Midnight.
Held at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, 100 Placerville Drive. Tickets

Discovery Day

This annual event celebrates the anniversary of James Marshall's momentous
discovery of gold in the tailrace of Sutter's Mill. Join us for living
history, interactive period trade demonstrations and gold rush music.

Passport Weekend

Go On Sale January 21, 2005
The 2005 El Dorado Passport Weekends will be held on April 9-10 and
April 16-17, 2005. Call or visit the website to get an application to
purchase your passport to this great event. Applications can only be
postmarked on or after January 21, 2005. Twenty wineries located in
El Dorado County will be participating. Tickets are $65 per person.

Maple Forest
January 8, 2005. Trident maples are planted in a shallow tray.
We will discuss botany, plant physiology, styling and care for
this unique Bonsai style. The trees will be taken from one-gallon
pots and are approximately 9-10 years old. 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Contra Dance

The Cool Contra Dances will be held from January through May on
the 4th Saturday of each month. The band will be Old Time Confusion.
Instruction is at 6:30 pm and full dancing is from 7:00 to 10:00
pm at the Pilot Hill Grange in Cool. $7 for adults $5 for under

El Dorado Friends of the NRA Banquet
January 25, 2005
Fundraising dinner and auction for the NRA Foundation. Live and
silent auctions, special drawings including limited edition firearms,

50 Association "Snowball" at the Sequoia

shoes and enjoy a delightful evening of gaiety and fine dining.
Proceeds to benefit the Highway 50 Wagon Train. More details to
