Lady On Cross Country Skis Enjoying the View

Winter has brought lots of snow to the Sierras.
There is still time to go skiing, snowmobiling, tobogganing, cross-country and snowboarding. Bundle up, take a picnic lunch and head for the hills.

Sierra At Tahoe has ten lifts, 1 triple chair, 5 double chairs and 1 “Magic Carpet” children’s lift. They have areas designated for your favorite snow sport and provide activities for the entire family. For information about Sierra At Tahoe call (530) 659-7453 or visit www.SierraTahoe.com.

Sno-park passes are available at Echo Lake (north side of Highway 50 at Echo Lake Road), Echo Summit (south side of Highway to at Echo Summit), Iron Mountain (north side of Highway 88 at the Mormon-Emigrant Trail Road), and Taylor Creek (west side of Highway 89 just North of Camp Richardson).

A Business Awards Luncheon to be held on Friday, March 19th at the Sequoia Restaurant will precede the Expo. This year’s keynote speaker, Donna Hartley, will inspire you to “turn challenges into opportunities.” Survivor of a DC-10 plane crash, she proved one woman could walk trough fire and deliver a message powerful enough to impact millions of lives. A master of weaving a story and a catalyst, she inspires positive transformation. Bon Voyage Ball

They’ll be Puttin’ on the Ritz for this evening. Grab you favorite gal or guy, get all dressed up and strut your stuff. Enjoy a wonderful dinner, dancing and great prizes. All proceeds benefit the Placerville Rotary Community Projects. Cocktail hour is from 6 to 7 p.m., dinner is at 7:30 p.m., and dancing begins at 8 p.m. El Dorado Fairgrounds, 100 Placerville Drive, Placerville. Placerville Speedway Races

March 27, 2004
March 27th marks the opening night of the season. There are races every Saturday. Bring out the family and friends to the speedway to have a nice evening of fun. Call for more details about the races. Pits open at 3:30 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m. and qualifying begins at 6:30 p.m. Placerville Speedway at 100 Placerville Drive, Placerville. Lotus Bonsai Nursery & Gardens

Choral Music Concert
San Francisco Choral Artists will be giving a concert on March 21st. If you enjoy the wonderful sound of choral music then this is a concert for you. 8 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Church. 3111 Terra De Dios Drive, El Dorado Hills. Tickets are $14. Jamboree
The 10th Annual New Morning Jamboree will be held on March 27th from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. A variety of entertainment including bluegrass, old time, country, fiddlers, country gospel and more.
