The Statement from the Independent Film Series. April 5th and 6th at the Signature Theater. Directed by Norman Jewison, The Statement is a contemporary political thriller set in modern day France. R 119 minutes.

Coach Trip
Double Yahoo! The next cultural coach trip is in the planning stages. The date is April 17th. Visit either the Art Deco exhibit at the SF Legion of Honor Museum featuring over 300 works of art, jewelry, sculpture, furniture and more or the comedy production of "Noises Off" at the Marines Memorial Theater. 22nd Annual American River Festival
April 24th and 25th. American River Conservancy and American Whitewater, both non-profit river conservation organizations, will feature a whitewater rodeo, downriver race, slalom races, live music, dinner, an auction and more. Shakespeare Club Rummage Sale

Coming in May

Placerville's 150th Birthday
Placerville Residents, Friends and Dignitaries will be celebrating Our Golden Past with a celebration ceremony on Thursday, May 13th with dignitaries, glimpses of the past and birthday cake followed by a full day celebration on Saturday May 15th. Main Street will be closed to provide ample space for the many demonstrations, performances and activities planned for the party and will be followed by an old fashioned street dance from 7 to 10 p.m. for more information call (530) 621-5885.

Anuual Renaissance May Faire - May 15th and 16th
