Mayor
Kathy Lishman will officiate at the commemorative ceremony to celebrate
Placerville's 150th birthday. The Thursday ceremony will be at the Bell
Tower and will be followed with birthday cake for everyone.

15, 2004, 2 pm to 6 pm
Join the fun as Placerville closes Main Street to celebrate with antique
fire trucks, a bucket brigade, games, demonstrations, entertainment,
historic skits by the Hangtown Marshalls and others, miner's stew, stagecoach
rides and much, much more. All of the fun won't stop there. There will
be a street dance from 7 to 10 pm with live music. For more information

Tourism Training Program
June 7-17,
2004.
Monday - Friday and Monday - Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm. This is
a great opportunity to learn entry-level skills for any business and
particularly the hospitality industry. The inaugural cost is only $59.
This is a real bargain. Classes will be held at the El Dorado Center.

Self Guided Garden Tour

The City of Placerville Community Pride Committee presents
the fourth year of this event. Twelve unique and picturesque privately
owned gardens can be viewed on this self-guided tour. The selection
committee has worked to bring participants a wide variety of garden
types from roses and perennials to oriental, organic, and alpine gardens.
10 am to 5 pm. Local gardens all over El Dorado County. Tickets are

Imagination Theater is showcasing this area's extraordinary
youth and young adult talent of singers, dancers, musicians, actors
and performing groups ages 8 to 25. Saturday May 1st at 8 pm, Sunday

is open the Saturday before Mother's Day and continues each Saturday

keeping their tasting rooms open late on Saturday the 19th. From
