Wagon Train… bringing history alive!
An event for the whole family

All About Wagon Train

In the 1840’s the lure of gold beckoned adventurous souls to make the arduous journey west over Echo Summit and down the Highway 50 corridor. To preserve this vital aspect of California’s history, men, women and children in authentic wagons recreate the journey of these intrepid emigrants. The caravan of horses and wagons forming the “Wagon Train” starts in Zephyr Cove Nevada and lumbers down Highway 50 for a week-long trek that culminates in Placerville. Join us on June 13th, 2009 as historic Placerville hosts a city-wide event celebrating our “golden” past.
